This little white chapel, called St Mary’s by the Sea, has sat on the waterfront since 1880, framed by swaying palms and views straight out to the Coral Sea.

The stained glass windows feature local nautilus shells, and if you're lucky enough to peek inside, the altar looks right out over the water. It's one of the most photographed spots in Port Douglas for good reason.
