It’s located just 7km from the centre of Mareeba in the Cairns Hinterland on State Route 27 - the main north/west road to the Gulf Country, and the start of the world-famous 3,700-kilometre road trip across the top of Australia from Cairns to Broome, Savannah Way.

Formerly part of Port Shorts Youth events, Reel Futures celebrates emerging filmmakers through screenings and awards.

JUNIOR Challenge YOUNG Filmmakers Awards Includes screenings, awards, and networking opportunities with Port Shorts Ambassadors. This is an alcohol-free event. No refunds available.
